Just found out about I made a thing, a mulit-fandom crafting fest thing on DW. And signed up. My craftiness extends to crochet, some sewing, and little bit of paper crafting (I've made bookmarks in the past). We'll find out in a month or so if this was a good idea or not. :/

A few days ago I found a small Yankee Candle jarred candle in the attic. It had accidentally ended up in a box with other things, laying on its side. I finally got around to doing some decorating in the new house. I decided to start with the bathroom, since it's small and doesn't need a) bookcases (my sitting room) or b) an upgraded bed (twin to full in my bedroom). I seem to have lost all my paperback-sized bookmarks, woe is me, so I spent yesterday being crafty and making my own. :)

I used some of my old photographs and one postcard, colored paper (on clearance from Jo-Ann's), and self-stick laminating stuff.

I finished Tom & Carol's baby blanket Sunday night, yay! I used the same pattern I used for the first baby blanket I did (that I never got pictures of) so it was pretty easy. I like the yarn I used for this one better than the yarn for the first one.

Back in May I'd bought a handmade pine table at the Kane County Flea Market for only $10. It wasn't very pretty, but it was the size I needed and I knew I could strip it and refinish it.

I spent all morning and most of the afternoon planting 98 Salvias (Victoria Blue) in the tulip bed, and I'm going to need at least one more flat still. It looks okay now, but only because all the tulip leaves haven't died back yet. Once they do there are going to be big gaps in the bed.
